Both Central Philippine State University (CPSU) and the Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U) recently captured the volleyball competitions of the State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association-Region VI (SCUAA-6) meet at the Sibalom covered gym in Antique.
CPSU took the men’s competition, while ISATU won the women’s title.
“We are not just a team but a family,” said CPSU coach Steve Serad, who cited “criticism” from others as a motivator.
Meanwhile, ISAT-U coach, Dr. Harry Fundal, credited hard work.
“You need to work to prepare,” he said. “Sacrifices [are] always paid.”
Both teams will go on to represent Region 6 at the national SCUAA meet./WDJ
