Murcia resident wounded in shooting

A man was wounded in a shooting incident at Hacienda Binitin in Barangay Blumentritt, Murcia, Negros Occidental, Friday morning.
The victim, identified as 23-year-old John Rey Acupan, suffered a gunshot wound to his right leg.
Following an initial investigation, Acupan and his relatives were walking in the said area when the three suspects approached them aboard a motorcycle and fired a shot.
The suspects were identified as Jay-r Suyom, Joy Willy, and a certain ‘Mac-Mac.’
Acupan was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the Murcia Municipal Police Station is conducting a hot-pursuit operation to locate and apprehend the suspects.
Police have yet to identify a possible motive behind the shooting./NC, WDJ
