The Provincial Council for Women (PCW) will be holding a culmination event for the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women tomorrow, December 12, at the Nature’s Village Resort in Talisay City.

According to PCW chair, Atty. Andrea Lizares-Si, events begin at 9:00 a.m., with Talisay City Mayor Neil Lizares III giving a welcome address. Also speaking at the event will be Hinoba-an Local Government Operations Officer Eduard Lutao and Philippine Commission on Women Commissioner Rina Amacio.

Awards for “Best Barangay Violence Against Women Desk” and desk officer will also be given out.

Barangay Cubay in La Carlota City, with Violence Against Women Desk Officer Raquel Angelitud, will win this year’s honor in the city category; while Barangay Purisima in Manapla, headed by Barangay Captain Cresenciano Sombero, Jr., will be recognized in the municipality category.
