The University of Antique recently dominated the swimming events of the State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association-Region VI (SCUAA-6) meet at the Binirayan Swimming Pool in San Jose, Antique, winning a total 25 gold, 16 silver, and 15 bronze medals.
“We motivate them to practice daily and provide them moral and financial support,” said coach Rose Mae Mena. “I feel really proud of my team.”
The swim team roster included Marven Jay Alojipan, Ronnel Christia Remetio, Caroline Anne Galedo, Rosheil Gorero, Fernando Vista, Jr., Loida Berbide, Normie Joy Malutao, Allan Pagsuguiron, Mark Anthony Basilan, Ma. Fe Saturnino, Kenneth Labitoria, Glorilene Obdamen, Jhannah Risa Hacob, Kyle Joshua Sebastian, Reymar Caspe, and Ranessa Molowa.
In addition to Mena, the coaching staff was comprised of Katherine Santillan and Corazon Alcarde.
Central Philippine State University took second place, while Iloilo Science and Technology University came in third./JL, WDJ
