Openings previously speculated in October, November

After announcing last month the Magsaysay-Araneta flyover would be opened by the end of November, even previously speculating an early opening in October, Bacolod Lone District Rep. Greg Gasataya said the structure will open to traffic next week, December 15.

In a press conference yesterday morning, the congressman said completion was delayed after workers faced difficulty removing telecommunication lines and other structures along the highway.

Gasataya added, he hoped the P300 million flyover will be open in time for the holidays, predicting it will “greatly reduce the amount of traffic along Araneta Street.”
