The final 2017 meeting for the Regional Development Council-VI (RDC-6) will be held today, December 8, in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

According to National Economic and Development Authority-Region VI Director Ro-Ann Bacal, Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar, who was supposed to provide an update on the ongoing “Build, Build, Build” project, will not be attending.

However, Antique Governor Rhodora Cadiao, who chairs the council, will lead discussions on peace and order, infrastructure development, investment competitiveness, economic development, social development, and the regional gender situation.

RDC-6 will also honor Office of Civil Defense-Region VI Director Rosario Cabrera, Janet Mesa of the Philippine Information Agency-Region VI, and Department of Energy Visayas Regional Field Officer Antonio Labios./WDJ
