The 2017 Palarong Panlalawigan is scheduled to hold opening ceremonies on Sunday, December 10, at 2:00 p.m. at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City.
According to Department of Education (DepEd) Division of Negros Occidental Sports Coordinator Romeo Sison, a number of individuals are expected to give welcome remarks, including Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr., DepEd-Region VI (DepEd-6) Director Ma. Gemma M. Ledesma, and Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia.
Also expected to attend are Negros Occidental Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, DepEd Assistant Schools Division Superintendent for Negros Occidental Gladys Amylines Sales, among others.
Student-athletes from across the province are expected to participate in a variety of sporting events, including arnis, athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, chess, football, gymnastics, sepak takraw, sipa, softball, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball, among others./JSG, WDJ
