With Ceres-Negros FC preparing to face Kaya FC-Makati in the second leg of their Philippine Football League (PFL) semifinal at the Panaad Park and Stadium on Saturday, December 9, Bacolod Lone District Rep. Greg Gasataya credited Negros Occidental Football Association (NOFA) President Ricky Yanson, Jr. and his brother, Ceres Negros FC Chairman Leo Rey Yanson, for the club’s achievements.
“Our gratitude to the Yanson family for the achievements of Ceres-Negros FC,” he declared.
The congressman also echoed the call by the NOFA president for the public to show their support at this weekend’s match.
Yanson expressed his gratitude the second leg will be played in Bacolod City.
“I’m thankful [the] Leg-2 semifinal is here in our hometown,” he said. “I’m inviting [everyone] to watch the game.”
Ceres FC leads the series, 1-0, following a late goal by midfielder Stephan Schröck during the first leg at the University of Makati Stadium.
Meanwhile, the match commissioner is scheduled to arrive in the city today; while match officials, referees, and Kaya FC are expected tomorrow./JSG, WDJ
