One person was confirmed dead while another was wounded after they were shot by riding-in-tandem suspects at Purok Kingfisher in Barangay 16, Bacolod City, late Sunday evening.

Police identified the fatality as 38-year-old Harold Tornilla, a resident of Purok Adarna in the said barangay; while the wounded was identified as Jessie Lamparero, 26.

Police Station 1 (PS1) commander, Police Senior Inspector Leo Estopa, said Tornilla suffered multiple gunshot wounds across his body, while Lamparero was struck in the foot.

Estopa said the suspects were armed with a .45 caliber firearm, and they suspect the incident’s motive was drug-related as Tornilla was identified as a drug personality in the barangay.

Police have yet to identify the two suspects and are presently conducting a follow-up investigation./DGB, WDJ
