Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MBCCI) President Frank Carbon called on
law enforcement to ensure peace and order in the city for the sake of the local business
community.
“Peace and order is vital [to] the growth of [the] business industry,” he said recently.
“Authorities should assure the business sector that they are always on top of this.”
Following the appointment of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) officer-in- charge, Police
Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, towards the end of last month, Bacolod City Mayor
Evelio Leonardia was asked about potential changes to the current deployment of BCPO officers,
responding, “If it’s not broken, why would you fix it?”
Meanwhile, Ebreo recently affirmed police visibility would be maintained despite the local
police force lacking personnel./PLL, WDJ
