Operatives from the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) City Intelligence Unit (CIU) raided a
suspected illegal cockfighting operation and arrested eight suspects at the Villa Fe Subdivision in
Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, yesterday morning.
Police identified the suspects as Dante Yap, Eric Aguihon, Rogelio Salcedo, Raulan Supilanas,
July Valencia, Brian Baliguat, Rey Tarrazona, and Jerry Gesulgon.
Police Inspector Adrian James Albaytar said they conducted a raid after receiving information of
the illegal activity.
When police officers arrived in the area, they immediately confronted the individuals and asked
if they had a permit to operate. None of the suspects were able to produce any relevant
documents.
Cops recovered two live fighting roosters and suspected bet money, amounting to P1,800.
All eight suspects are facing illegal gambling charges and are presently detained at Police Station
4 (PS4)./DGB, WDJ
