Despite an admitted lack of personnel, Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) director, Police Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, said they are capable of maintaining police visibility.

According to Ebreo, the BCPO currently has a total of 680 police officers, with an additional 311 personnel from the Regional Public Safety Battalion-Region VI (RPSB-6).

The BCPO chief said he wants police to be active in the evening hours, similar to their present deployment during the day.

Aside from overseeing security, Ebreo also ordered police to engage and build rapport with the local community in order to make them more at ease and to improve response times.

However, Ebreo emphasized, he cannot promise to completely eliminate crime in the city./DGB, WDJ
