Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region VI (PDEA-6), in cooperation with San Carlos City police, successfully arrested a suspected drug dealer in Barangay 5, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, Thursday afternoon.

Police identified the suspect as 43-year-old Hazel Seria, a resident of Purok Big Tibuco, Barangay 1 in the said city.

Police Superintendent Arturo Fullero said PDEA-6 operatives moved in and arrested Seria after she handed one small sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P500.

A search of the premises and the suspect yielded four more sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and suspected drug money worth P80.

Fullero noted the value of the seized narcotics came to around P7,000 and weighed about one gram.

Seria is presently facing drug-related charges and is detained at the San Carlos City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
