Bago City-born boxer Aston ‘Mighty’ Palicte will be defending his North American Boxing Federation (NABF) super flyweight title against Mexican fighter Jose Alfredo Rodriguez next week, December 8, at the Round Rock Sports Center in Texas, USA.

Earlier this year, Palicte knocked out World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental super flyweight champion John Mark ‘Iceman’ Apolinario in the eighth round of their non-title bout in the “Brawl at the Mall: The Homecoming” at the Robinsons Mall Atrium in General Santos City.

Palicte picked up the NABF last December after defeating American boxer Oscar Cantu via split decision./JSG, WDJ
