VACC to open an office in Bacolod City

Interim Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Undersecretary on Barangay Affairs and Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) Chairman Martin Diño was in Bacolod City yesterday afternoon to attend a VACC orientation, where he called on barangay officials to be firm in the anti-illegal drugs campaign.
“Those who are neglectful, or acting cowardly in their duties, can say ‘goodbye’ to their positions,” he warned.
Diño said, for those who perform their duties successfully, from tanods to barangay captains, he would make them “famous.”
Meanwhile, the orientation was held as a prospective VACC office is set to open in Bacolod City.
Diño was recently named to the DILG post and noted, even though the formal appointment is still being processed, President Rodrigo Duterte requested he report to his new post. During this period, he said, he would be travelling the country on behalf of the PDP-Laban and the VACC./DGB, WDJ./DGB, WDJ
