At least eight homes were confirmed destroyed after a fire broke out along Torres Street at Purok Kapayas, Barangay Poblacion in Bago City, early Wednesday morning.

Arson investigators from the Bago City Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire reportedly started in a home owned by Regie Guizihan and immediately spread to nearby homes, as they were all made of light materials.

Guizihan and another resident, Vivian Pancho, suffered minor burns due to the incident.

The victims of the fire have temporarily sought shelter with relatives, while others are currently being housed at the home of Barangay Poblacion Captain Sergio Piansay.

BFP has yet to determine the cause and estimated damages of the blaze./DGB, WDJ
