The Negros Occidental Commission on Elections (Comelec) reminded the public that voter registration for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections, which were moved from October 23, 2017 to May 14, 2018, will close tomorrow, November 30.

According to Comelec-Negros Occidental election supervisor, Atty. Jessie Suarez, since registration re-opened earlier this month, around 12,000 voters across the province registered to vote.

The original polls were postponed after the House of Representatives voted to suspend the elections earlier this year, which was later signed by President Rodrigo Duterte in early October.

The final bill also included the holdover of all incumbent barangay officials./PLL, WDJ
