Murcia Mayor launches P95M ‘legacy project’

Considered his “legacy project,” Murcia Mayor Andrew L. Montelibano, along with members of the municipal government, held a groundbreaking for the Tourism Water Supply Infrastructure (TOUWA) Project last week at the Alegria Spring site in the municipality’s Barangay Alegria.

The mayor said the project, which cost over P95.47 million, will make a significant impact on both Murcia and Bacolod City as it will provide an “abundant supply of fresh water.”

Also in attendance were Murcia Vice Mayor Gerardo M. Rojas, Murcia Water District (MWD) Chairman Alfredo T. Amada, MWD General Manager Winston M. Makilan, among others./WDJ
