Fil-Sino Inter-Color Basketball Tournament

Royal Star Trading recently defeated JSY Transport, 58-50; while Basecom beat Silver Dragon Transport, 76-74, in the quarterfinals of the ongoing Fil-Sino Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School gym.

JSY Transport took an early 16-10 advantage in the opening period and continued to lead through to the end of the third quarter, where they were up by a narrow 43-42 margin.

Royal Star Trading took advantage of the one-point margin and came from behind for the win.

Brix Arrobang led the victory with 14 points, while Arnol Laureño and Edward Uy each added 12.

In the other game, Silver Dragon Transport led 23-12 in the first period; however, that was flipped to a 45-33 deficit at the half as Basecom fought back in the second quarter.

Basecom would hold on to the lead through to the end of the game, with Silver Dragon Transport getting as close as a 62-57 score line in the third period./JSG, WDJ
