A commercial establishment located along San Sebastian Street, Barangay 14 in Bacolod City was on fire late Sunday evening.
Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Bacolod arson investigator, Fire Officer 2 (FO2) John Stewart Mondido, said they received a call around 9:30 p.m. reporting a fire at the Tri-V Building.
Firefighters rushed to the scene and battled the blaze for at least 30 minutes. A ‘fire out’ was declared just before 10:00 p.m.
An ocular inspection of the building later determined three rentable spaces, including a cafeteria, a small shop, and office space, were gutted; with damages estimated at P150,000.
Mondido added, they have yet to determine the cause of the blaze, although they are eyeing the possibility an electric fan was left unattended./DGB, WDJ
