A motorcycle driver was killed after he was hit by a bus and run over by a sugarcane truck in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, late Friday evening.

Police have not yet identified the fatality as he did not carry any personal identification with him, however, they took note of a tattoo on his right hand with the name “Requel Mae.”

Binalbagan police traffic investigator, Senior Police Officer 2 (SPO2) Aldrin Alindao, said the victim was trying to overtake a truck, driven by 34-year-old Rey Hudit.

However, the victim did not see the oncoming bus, driven by 50-year-old Eliezer Lopez.

The collision resulted in the victim being thrown from his motorcycle and subsequently run over by the truck, where he died instantly.

Both Lopez and Hudit immediately surrendered to police after the incident./DGB, WDJ
