Around 1,300 personnel from the Bacolod City Police Office, the Department of Education-Division of Bacolod, the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office, and the Bacolod City Government Center took part in a clean-up drive and repainting across Bacolod City over the weekend.
The three target areas were along South Capitol Road, beside the Development Bank of the Philippines building; the Bacolod Public Plaza, including the downtown area, Central Market, and along Gonzaga and Araneta Streets; and Negros Occidental High School.
The clean-up drive was conducted in preparation for the National Union of Career Executive Officers General Assembly, which begins tomorrow, November 21, and runs until November 23.
According to City Administrator John Orola, Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Benjamin Diokno is expected to attend the event./WDJ
