The Iloilo City government recognized the top 10 achievers of the Tax Awareness Campaign, where local high school students took part in tax campaign examinations from August to September this year, during a ceremony at the Iloilo City Diamond Jubilee Hall last week.
“These students are the future leaders,” said city assessor, Engr. Nelson Parreño. “We want to educate them about the importance of tax as lifeblood of the government.”
Evy Cabaluna of Iloilo City National High School took first place and received P3,000.
Nelyn Grace Parreno of Ramon Avanceña National High School came in second and won P2,500; while Aizelle Del Rio of Special Education Integrated School for Exceptional Children took home P2,000 for taking third place.
