After earlier announcing refunds to consumer-members for the deferred 22¢ per kilowatt-hour (kWh) charge, previously mandated by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) following a petition brought forward by the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management (PSALM) Corporation, the Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Ceneco) said November 2017 residential rates reduced by 33¢.
In addition to the refund, the utility co-op reported a small reduction in the transmission charge.
Meanwhile, deferment on the said 22¢/kWh payment is scheduled to expire in January 2018.
In addition, the 8¢/kWh charge, originating from another ERC decision allowing Ceneco to collect from consumer-members, was temporarily put on hold last month by Ceneco President Roy Cordova./PLL, WDJ
