The Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Ceneco) announced they would be refunding consumer-members for 22¢ per kilowatt-hour (kWh) charges assessed during the November 2017 billing period.
According to a release from the utility co-op, the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) requested collections be deferred, after earlier authorizing the additional charge in light of a petition brought forward by the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management (PSALM) Corporation.
Collection deferment is scheduled to run until January 2018.
Meanwhile, the additional 8¢/kWh charge, originating from another ERC decision allowing Ceneco to collect from consumer-members, was temporarily put on hold last month by Ceneco President Roy Cordova./PLL, WDJ
