One house was destroyed, while three people were injured, following a blaze at Purok Barabat-os, Barangay Mambulac in Silay City, Negros Occidental, yesterday morning.
Authorities identified the victims as live-in partners Josie Rose Pantallano and Albert Garcia, and their 17-year-old child, who has not been named.
An initial probe by arson investigators from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Silay City said the 17-year-old was refilling a butane tank and did not notice a leak, which immediately caught fire.
Firefighters rushed to the scene, while the three victims were rushed to the Teresita Locsin Jalandoni Provincial Hospital after sustaining second degree burns.
BFP-Silay estimated damages at P50,000./DGB, WDJ
