Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias (CSAV) defeated the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R), 76-62, in Game 1 of the 2017 Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (NOPSSCEA) men’s basketball finals at the STI-West Negros University gym, last night.

CSAV took an early 26-16 lead in the first period, which they were able to maintain, going into the break with a 43-32 advantage.

Despite UNO-R managing to bring it to a one-point game in the third, the eventual winners went on to pull ahead again, going into the final quarter up 56-43.

Jeffrey Manday led the victory with 28 points.
