A suspected shoplifter was nabbed by police after allegedly stealing several items of clothes from a popular shopping mall located along Araneta Street in Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City, yesterday afternoon.

Police identified the suspect as 32-year-old Andrea Perez, a resident of Purok Sawmill, Barangay Bata in the said city.

Reports by Police Station 8 (PS8) said Perez was caught by a security guard allegedly trying to steal several items of clothes from the mall’s department store.

Recovered from Perez’s possession were several garments, valued at P12,080.25

Perez is presently detained at PS8 and may face theft charges./DGB, WDJ
