Ceres-Negros FC next travels to Ilocos Sur in the ongoing Philippines Football League (PFL), where they are scheduled to meet Ilocos United FC tomorrow and on Saturday, November 18, at the Quirino Stadium in Bantay.
Kickoff for both matches is at 7:00 p.m.
“We should compete until the end,” said Ceres coach Risto Vidaković. “We can’t simply sit down.”
The Negrense club currently sits in second place on the PFL table, two points behind league leaders FC Meralco Manila, with two games in hand and scheduled for another faceoff with the Manila-based club later this month.
A win tomorrow would move Ceres to the top of the table.
In their two prior PFL meetings, Ceres easily pushed Ilocos aside; winning their July match, 7-0, and their September meeting, 5-0.
“Ceres is by far the best team in the competition,” said Ilocos coach Ian Gillan./JSG, WDJ
