The Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias (CSAV) defeated La Consolacion College-Bacolod (LCC), 96-56, last night in their semifinal game of the 2017 Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (NOPSSCEA) men’s basketball competition at the STI-West Negros University (STI-WNU) gym.
“All our efforts [were] worth it,” said CSAV co-manager Paolo Cruz. “We will work hard to win this year’s title.”
CSAV took an early 24-13 lead in the first quarter, which later increased to 51-24 at the half.
The Victorias City side was unrelenting and carried an insurmountable 75-39 going into the final period.
Jeric Adorio led the victory with 16 points, followed by Vladimir Pangantihon with 13, and Jeffrey Manday adding 12.
CSAV next faces the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos in the finals, after the latter defeated STI-WNU, 80-77./JSG, WDJ
