The Bacolod City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) Trainers’ Training graduated a total of 75 yesterday at the Bacolod City Government Center.
The newly-minted trainers will lead the implementation of the second Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program (CBDRP) batch.
“The idea here is what to do with these ‘surrenderers,’” said Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, who addressed those gathered. “They have to be guided to facilitate their eventual return to society.”
The group was divided into 10 teams, each comprised of a psychiatrist, psychologist, nurse, social worker, member of a faith-based organization, peer counselor, and representative from the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Women and Children Protection Desk.
The teams were then assigned to a BCPO police station.
Also present at the event were Drs. Priscilla Lamis and Ronald Anotado, along with Emmanuel Ausmolo, all of the Department of Health-Region-VI (DOH-6); and Bacolod City Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) officer-in-charge Carmelo Orbista./WDJ
