According to the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Region VI (DSWD-6), Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) affiliates at the barangay-level are inactive across the region.

The Regional Sub-Committee for the Welfare of Children-Region VI (RSCWC-6) is seeking a full reactivation in every province of the region.

RSCWC-6 Secretariat Raji Alvarado said only 86 barangays in the region have functional councils.

She believes active LCPCs can aid in the ongoing war on illegal drugs./WDJ
