Two suspected pickpockets were arrested by police after victimizing a commuter along C.V. Ramos Avenue in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City, yesterday morning.
Police identified the victim as 19-year-old Karla Patrizia Omero, a native of Barangay Biniquil in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Reports released by Police Station 6 (PS6) said Omero was disembarking a passenger jeepney when she noticed her green wallet, containing cash amounting to P3,370, was missing.
Believing it was stolen, Omero immediately sought the assistance of police, who were conducting a patrol nearby.
Cops immediately conducted a follow-up operation, resulting in the arrest of 30-year-old Lorwie Gonzales and Jhoma Gonzales, both residents of Barangay Taculing.
Police recovered the stolen wallet, which was positively identified by Omero.
The two suspects may face theft charges and are presently detained at PS6./DGB, WDJ
