The Iloilo City Council unanimously approved a P30 million supplemental budget recently, with a large portion of the funds intended for the procurement of vehicles.

“[A] big part of the supplemental budget is allocated for the purchase of vehicles,” explained City Councilor Eduardo Peñaredondo. “Some of our departments have no vehicles, while some are using already-dilapidated units.”

Funds will also be used for maintenance and other operating expenses, along with appropriations for Capital outlay and the Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Fund./WDJ
