Ceres-Negros FC next meets JPV Marikina FC in the ongoing Philippines Football League (PFL) today at 4:00 p.m. at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila.
Ceres coach Risto Vidaković discussed the challenges the club faces with some key players on the injured list.
“Stephan Schröck, Martin Steuble, and Manuel Ott are injured and I don’t know until when,” he said. “I don’t know what to do [when] less than 15 players are fit to play.”
He noted other players are away with their national teams as it is currently an international break period.
This match will be their fourth and final PFL meeting, with each club earning one win, along with the two playing to a draw last month at the Panaad Park and Stadium. Their most recent face-off, however, which was also in Bacolod City, saw the Negrense side dominate, winning 5-0.
Ceres is coming off a 6-0 win over league leaders FC Meralco Manila. The victory put them three points adrift of first place./JSG, WDJ
