Fight in Brgy. 35 ends with a shooting

A brawl between two parties ended in a shooting incident at Purok Malipayon, Barangay 35 in Bacolod City, Thursday morning.
Police identified the victim as 25-year-old Warren Villarosa, a resident of Galo-Ramos Streets in Barangay 22 of the said city.
The suspect, meanwhile, was identified as Antony Atienza, a resident of Barangay 35, also of the said city.
Police Station 1 (PS1) duty investigator, Police Officer 2 (PO2) Marjochris Ebuen, said Villarosa and a friend, identified as Michael Sampilo, were drinking when the suspect confronted them.
They were later engaged in a fight, with Atienza armed with an unidentified caliber of firearm.
Atienza allegedly shot Villarosa three times and fled the scene.
Villarosa was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) for treatment.
The assailant is now being hunted down by police./DGB, WDJ
