8th Negros First-Governor Alfredo G. Marañon, Jr. Cup Open Boxing Championships

The Negros Occidental third congressional district won the 8th Negros First-Governor Alfredo G. Marañon, Jr. Cup Open Boxing Championships, which took place at the Sagay City gym last week.

The third district won seven gold, five silver, and eight bronze medals; followed by last year’s champions the sixth district, who took home six gold, six silver, and nine bronze medals.

Following his unanimous decision win over Lorenz John Torela of Sipalay City (sixth district), Rodel Gamo of Bago City (fourth district) was named ‘Best Boxer.’/JSG, WDJ
