Local chapters of Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) and Karapatan-Negros protested against extrajudicial killings at the Burgos Public Cemetery, last Wednesday.

Karapatan-Negros Secretary-General Clarizza Singson Dagatan said the protest was also in memory of activists who the group believes were “forcefully disappeared” or killed by members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

“We are demanding justice from President Rodrigo Duterte,” she declared.

Dagatan claimed 93 of their activists have been killed during the Duterte administration.
