Ceres-Negros FC meets JPV Marikina FC today at 4:00 p.m. in the ongoing 2017 Philippines Football League (PFL) at the Panaad Park and Stadium.

Both Ceres defender Jeffrey Christiaens and midfielder Stephan Schröck return for this match, a boost for the Negrense club, who drew JPV Marikina last week, 2-2.

Ceres FC is looking to land one of the finals series berths, currently in third place on the PFL table. The top four clubs qualify for the postseason.

The Negrense club at present holds 42 points, five points behind second place Kaya FC-Makati FC and six behind league leaders FC Meralco Manila – both of whom have already qualified for the finals.

However, due to the number of matches played outside the PFL, Ceres FC currently holds several games in hand compared to their opponents, six more than Kaya FC and three more than Meralco./JSG, WDJ
