2017 UniGames: STI-WNU loses in men’s chess finals to Jose Maria College

STI-West Negros University took second place in the men’s chess tournament of the ongoing 2017 University Games in Dumaguete City.

STI-West Negros University (STI-WNU) recently took second place in the men’s chess tournament of the ongoing 2017 University Games (UniGames) in Dumaguete City after losing to Jose Maria College, who beat the Bacolod City school, 2.5 points to 1.5.

Holy Angel University came in third.

On the ladies’ side, De La Salle University (DLSU) beat Jose Maria College in the final round, 3.5 points to 0.5. DLSU finished in first place, followed by Holy Angel University and Jose Maria College./JSG, WDJ
