Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. turned over a check worth P1.9 million yesterday to Iloilo City Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) president, Barangay Macatunao Captain Delfin Gregorio, intended for 17 priority projects in 13 of the town’s barangays.
The projects include the installation of solar street lights, along with the construction of classroom buildings, a daycare center, and a home economics building.
Meanwhile, an additional P100,000 was also turned over for the enhancement of the Roberto H. Tirol High School Teen Zone in Barangay Bacjawan Sur.
“This help will go a long way,” said Teen Center Coordinator Catherine Beñeras, who said the funding will go towards the purchase of sports equipment, musical instruments, and educational materials./JAN, WDJ
