Over 120 table tennis players are expected for the 1st Altruists Cup 2017 Table Tennis Championship, set to begin on Friday, October 27, and run until October 29 at CityMall Mandalagan.

The event will be divided into different divisions including 6-year-olds, 8-year-olds, 10-year-olds, 12-year-olds, 14-year-olds, 16-year-olds, 18-year-olds; along with team events for 25-35 year olds, 36-25 year olds, 46-55 year olds, and 56-year-olds and up.

Meanwhile, Altruists Table Tennis Association of Bacolod, Inc. president, Engr. Paul Puentespina, said they will also be raising funds during the event.

“We will be selling t-shirts to raise funds to help [with] the medical bills of Olympian Ian Lariba, who was diagnosed with cancer,” he said./JSG, WDJ
