The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) men’s volleyball team recently lost to Silliman University, 25-22, 25-22, 25-22, in the ongoing 2017 University Games (UniGames) in Dumaguete City.

In other games, De La Salle University beat both Arellano University, 25-19, 25-19, 25-20, and the University of Mindanao, 25-20, 25-19, 28-26; Southwestern University defeated Foundation University, 25-22, 25-14, 25-11; and the University of Sto. Tomas beat the University of Mindanao-Tagum, 25-16, 25-9, 25-16.

In addition, the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA beat Negros Oriental State University in three sets.

Meanwhile, 18 schools will vie for the top honors in beach volleyball, including the University of St. La Salle men’s team and the UNO-R women’s team./JSG, WDJ
