Following his recent appearance at the MassKara Festival in Bacolod City, Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Michael Lloyd Dino urged Iloilo City residents to request President Rodrigo Duterte attend the Dinagyang Festival, which will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in January 2018.

“Write my office a letter, I’ll bring him,” he said during a press conference with Iloilo media.

Since assuming the presidency, Duterte has visited Region VI several times, but has not been to Iloilo since April 2016, which was during his campaign.

Dino downplayed talks claiming Duterte held a grudge against Iloilo, which he referred to as most “shabu-lized.”/WDJ
