At least two people are confirmed dead, while two others were wounded, after a group of 20 unidentified gunmen opened fire on a house at Sitio Malabyokon, Barangay Buenavista, Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental, Saturday evening.

Police identified one of the fatalities as Angel Bacani and one of the wounded as Soping Dagat.

Authorities did not identify the other two involved individuals.

Based on an initial probe by Guihulngan City police, the victims were having dinner inside Bacani’s house when they were fired upon.

Bacani was killed on the spot, alongside one of the visitors. Dagat and the other visitor were rushed to the city’s district hospital.
