Toboso-born Merlito ‘Tiger’ Sabillo successfully defended his Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) lightweight title during “Fist of Glory: Double Championship-Road to Glory” at the Barangay Granada gym last week, defeating Crimson Omayao of Valencia City, Bukidnon via unanimous decision.

Meanwhile, in one of the undercard fights, Jayr Raquinel of Cauayan beat Richard Rosales of Tagbilaran City, Bohol via unanimous decision to capture the interim Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) flyweight title.

“He just ran around the ring,” Sabillo said of his opponent.

“Ahead of my next fight, I need to train hard to improve my speed,” he added.
