Bacolod City-based MK Gymnastics won the junior division of the 1st JGM MassKara Invitational, which took place over the weekend at Bacolod Tay Tung High School.

The team comprised of Kiana Marie Alagaban, Althea Descutido, and Danielle Jamelo finished with a score of 133.0, ahead of Zamboanga del Sur, who finished in second place with a score of 114.3.

However, Zamboanga del Sur triumphed in the pre-junior and developmental categories.

The team of Danah Marie Linghang, Kylle Casanillo, Gennilyn Antipuesto, and Chendy Monneth Barcale won the pre-junior division ahead of MK Gymnastics; while the team comprised of Precious Escobar, Alexis Lacida, and Andrhea Dano beat Alles Club for the top spot in the developmental division.

Poise RG Club, meanwhile, took the top two honors in the senior division.

“The only way to raise our level of competitiveness is to have competitions like this,” said event organizer Tina Alagaban. “This is our goal.”/JSG, WDJ
