The Iloilo City Office of Senior Citizens Affairs recently recognized 14 senior citizens who made significant contributions to their communities with the Huluaran sang Katigulangan award.

“We must continue to love our elders,” said acting Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III. “We must be proud of the way we take care of our elders for it only shows how we love them so much.”
The recipients included Rafael C. Arancillo, Nelly F. Daymon, Rodolfo V. Ocate, Delfin L. Punzalan, Romeo O. Apsay, Ricardo Lachica, Carlito L. Jusa, Rodrigo J. Hoderial, Betty D. Rile, Asuncion Lauresta-Faro, Marietta V. Orleans, Nelida S. Medina, Violeta M. Gil, and Angelita Santosildes./WDJ
