A suspected member of the notorious Rondoy robbery group was arrested by police yesterday at Purok Sunrise, Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City.
Police identified the suspect as 30-year-old Rodio Tico, a resident of the said barangay.
Police Station 6 (PS6) commander, Police Chief Inspector Jovil Sedel, said Tico, along with the recently-apprehended Alex ‘Rondoy’ Barredo, are responsible for several robbery incidents that took place in Bacolod City, along with nearby towns and cities.
Tico was served an arrest warrant, issued by Judge Montano Medel, Jr., and is currently being detained on P12,000 bail.
During the arrest, police officers also recovered several sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia. Sedel noted, Tico may also face additional drug-related charges./WDJ
