The Davies Paint Bacolod U15 girls team will represent the Western Visayas in the upcoming 2017 Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) 3×3 U15 national finals in Manila.
The team, coached by Gerome Aledron, is comprised of Kiara Mejica of St. Scholastica’s Academy, Lynette Desendario of Brookside Garden Academy in Bago City, and Charity Gecana and Lysa Quaitchon of Bacolod City National High School.
“We have lots of potential female talents in the province who need exposure,” said Aledron. “We hope to win a place in the national finals so that we can further promote the sport in Bacolod and the province.”
This is the third consecutive year the team has earned a place in the national finals, after defeating Iloilo City National High School in this year’s regional qualifier.
A total of 16 teams from across the country will be competing in the U15 girls division./WDJ
